The mixer begins at 5:30 and
ends at 7:30 p.m. We encourage
you to attend GPSWA mixers
to re-energize your networking
skills and to make new contacts
to help grow your business. This
association belongs to YOU, so
come join the fun and support

attend one GPSWA mixer to see
what our association can offer.

April 9th Mixer at Celebrity
House, Indian Palms Country Club
The April GPSWA mixer
was held at the famed,
historic Celebrity House
at Indian Palms Country
Club. Group and Event
Sales Manager Jackie
Jackson hosted a lovely
event, providing hot
hors d'oeuvres and a
warm atmosphere.
Esteemed guests of
Celebrity House in years
past include Presidents
Dwight D. Eisenhower and
John F. Kennedy. The
location provides
meeting space that can
accommodate 10-40 guests
indoors and up to 150 on
the patio. The Indian
Palms Country Club has
plenty to offer its
guests and residents.
There is a 27-hole USGA
Championship golf
course; a 59-room
boutique hotel; an
on-site restaurant and
bar; two pools with spa;
a fitness center; and
ample banquet
facilities.
The mixer was emceed
by GPSWA Vice-President,
Donna Kwok. GPSWA
members Georgeanne
Catalano and Dave Von
Holt of McDowell Awards
gave a brief
presentation about their
services and product
offerings. Their
presentation was a
perfect segue to the
special award of
appreciation given to
former GPSWA President
Laurie Lund of The
Events Department. A
plaque of appreciation
was made by McDowell
Awards and presented on
behalf of the GPSWA 2008
Board of Directors.
Laurie was happily
surprised by the honor,
and all of us thank
Laurie for her many
years of dedication to
the Association!
The mixer finished
with the monthly door
prize drawing. We
appreciate all those who donated
door prizes for our raffle drawing!
Thank you again to

hosting our April mixer!
We encourage you to attend our
monthly mixers to let other
members know who you are and
what you do. Our next mixer will
be Monday, June 9th, at
Piero's Acqua Pazza.
UPCOMING GPSWA MIXERS
GPSWA mixers are held from 5:30
to 7:30 pm on the second
Monday of every month, unless
otherwise specified. We will not
be holding a mixer in May.
