From the bride and groom:
"I was inspired by romance, elegance, tones of blush and gold, mercury glass and olive leaves. I love flowers, sparkle and anything girly but I wanted the wedding to be elegant and traditional with a whimsical touch. Roses, Peonies and Sweet Peas in shades of blush and mercury glass, chandeliers, calligraphy and touches of handmade elements are everything I love. So when it came to planning my wedding I wanted to incorporate all these things. We really wanted to bring tradition and romance to the desert. Having the ceremony in front of the large olive tree on the golf course, with chandeliers hanging, and the striking desert backdrop of the crisp mountains and palm trees. It was never a question that we wanted to have our wedding in the desert with its gorgeous scenery and perfect March weather and it was only fitting to have the romantic theme I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl to go alone with it! Once we visited La Quinta Country Club, we knew right away that the gorgeous architecture and stunning landscaping and sprawling golf courses would be the perfect backdrop for my vision.Roberts’s parents had recently purchased a vacation home in La Quinta soon after we started dating and we spent as many weekends as we could in La Quinta. We loved the ease of quickly escaping Los Angeles yet feeling so far from home and relaxed. We absolutely fell in love with the beautiful desert area with its rolling greens and fun and relaxing activities, and thought it would be the perfect destination for our March wedding. We wanted a destination wedding but still wanted it to be an easy trip for guests without having to fly. As La Quinta is only about a 3 hour drive from Los Angeles and its average high temperature in March is 80 °F, we knew it was the perfect backdrop for our outdoor wedding ceremony. The moment we got engaged we knew we would plan a La Quinta wedding!"
