As wedding professionals, we attend and plan a LOT of events. We've seen a lot of trends, a lot of beauty, a lot of creativity. But, once in a while we attend an event that knocks our socks off. Such was the event I had the pleasure of attending at Omni Rancho Las Palmas the other night. Pamela Olson, the Wedding Planner, at Omni RLP, had a Wedding Experience FAM on the property and invited vendors that she does business with as well as out of area wedding planners. Pamela showcased the property beautifully starting with a Champagne Reception in the Plaza and then moving to a Wedding Ceremony on the lawn. The couple was stunning and romantic and the weather could not have been more perfect creating a gorgeous backdrop of the lake, the sunshine and the palm trees. We then moved to the Sunrise Terrace for another cocktail reception and tray passed appetizers and then to the Starlight Terrace where everyone was treated to a DJ (and dancing) and incredible food. My favorite was the Mashed Potato Bar with Short Rib Bites complete with two different kinds of potatoes, au jus, cheese, bacon and grilled onions served in a martini glass. After dinner, laughing and dancing, we moved to the Pool at the Spa which was beautifully candelit and had the faint sounds of spa music created a perfectly lovely end to the evening. The dessert station and wedding cake didn't hurt either. Several of our GPSWA members were in attendance and participated in making this an unforgettable evening including Christine Arnold Photography who was the couple's offical photographer and Joey at Artisan Events who created a romantic atmosphere with florals, chandeliers, and other beautiful touches. If you've not had the chance to visit Omni Rancho Las Palmas, I would highly recommend doing so.
P.S. I got married at Rancho Las Palmas, and I fall more in love with the magic of the property every time I go.
