We've all been to weddings where we were uncertain of where to go, what to do, where to sit and perhaps we didn't know anyone other than the Bride and Groom. Imagine how comforting it would be to be greeted by someone who is friendly and welcoming that can put you at ease. Call it the Wedding Welcome Wagon! Wedding Greeters are an important role when considering the different responsibilities to assign for your wedding. A Greeter is someone who is assigned to physically stand at the entrance to welcome wedding guests and direct them to their seat or to sign the Guest Book or enter the Cocktail Party. They may even be responsible for introducing guests to one another. A Greeter should be friendly and outgoing and willing to make small talk with your guests. A Greeter is a great role for someone who is not part of the actual Wedding Party but is someone still worthy of recognition and being put in an important role. For your guests, being greeted by a friendly face sets the tone for the rest of the event.
